St. Catherine’s Academy (SCA), an all boys’ Catholic School with a military tradition celebrates 127 years since its founding. As the oldest elementary school in Orange County and only Catholic school of its kind in the entire country, SCA offers grades from transitional kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade. Since 1889, SCA’s cadets attend the school from different parts of the United States and from different countries. This year, international students represent the following countries: Mexico, China, Nigeria, Vietnam and Tonga. On Sunday September 11, SCA will host an informative Back to School Event for students and their parents.
SCA offers a competitive education as well as a wide selection of sports and music options for students. In addition, it is a second-home to many, offering weekly and year-round boarding options. Its unique military tradition promotes self-discipline, respect, and leadership and is sure to challenge each cadet through age-appropriate physical training and team building opportunities. Enrollment options for the new year are still available with the exceptions of specific grades being waitlisted.
“I am so excited to welcome new and returning families to our school,” said Sister Johnellen Turner, OP, Administrator/Principal of St. Catherine’s Academy. “St. Catherine’s Academy is truly a place where young boys become leaders of tomorrow.”
