On Friday, February 21, 2020, the Anaheim Ducks held their fourth annual Catholic Night to honor Catholic schools in their community. The night not only consisted of an electrifying game of our mighty Ducks against the Colorado Avalanche, but also of Rosary High School’s choir singing the National Anthem and our very own St. Catherine’s Academy (SCA) performing a special Color Guard presentation.

This annual celebration of Catholic education is celebrating its 46th year of recognizing these schools and all the core products and values they offer kids. The theme for this year’s Catholic Schools Week is “Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.” Although National Catholic Schools Week has passed (January 26 through February 1, 2020), the Anaheim Ducks still found a way to commemorate local Catholic schools for a fourth consecutive year in a row. This event brought together friends and families in our community in a fun and exciting way while celebrating the kids who attend Catholic Schools as well.

St. Catherine’s Academy is the first Catholic school to arise in the OC area and instills a military tradition for young boys in Transitional Kindergarten to 8th grade. SCA’s Color Guard team proudly represented Catholic Schools’ Night at the Honda Center and portrayed the boys’ ambition and practice through this wonderful performance.
