Mayrose Marquez began teaching at St. Catherine’s Academy when she taught second grade in 2006. After teaching 6th grade for 4 years at another Orange County diocese school,  she returned to teach a blended classroom (3rd & 4th).  She holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching from Chapman University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Vanguard University.

Her love of teaching is very evident in the classroom.  Her learning environment promotes fun, growth, and a sense of responsibility.  She enjoys teaching her students about life and her travel experiences from other parts of the world in hopes that she is able to inspire them to learn about other cultures.

When she’s not teaching, she loves to explore and discover new places on her bike.  She enjoys spending time with her family and friends when she is not traveling to another part of the world.  She has also taught English in China and led a student tour to Costa Rica where they visited a school in one of the indigenous tribe.
