Academics Focused on Boys

Despite having so many private schools in Orange County, St. Catherine’s Academy is the only all-boys school for students in transitional kindergarten through eighth grade. 

Because of our all-boys program, SCA is uniquely qualified to focus on the specific learning needs of your son. Our teachers understand that boys learn differently from girls, especially in the early stages of education. Guided by research-based best practices, teachers create lessons that will help your son actively experience knowledge, including hands-on activities, collaborative projects, and field trips.

SCA's academic program exceeds California state standards in all core subjects while also offering a variety of enrichment classes and extracurricular activities. 

Your son will enjoy enrichment classes in music, physical education, Spanish, and art. If you choose, your son can also participate in extracurricular activities like sports, peer leadership, piano, guitar, and competitive drill team. St. Catherine’s Academy is the only TK-8 academy to offer marching band among Orange County private schools.
