Activities & Programs

Students in third through eighth grade participate in afternoon instruction directed by the military department. “Military Time,” as it is commonly called within the St. Catherine’s Family, is in addition to the regular school day and takes place from 3:00 – 3:30 four days a week. Activities vary, but the goal is always the same: to develop leadership qualities and self-discipline in our students.

Military instruction activities include:

  • Classroom Seminars in Leadership
  • Practical Leadership Exercises
  • Company Games
  • Obstacle Course
  • Basic Drill Instruction
  • Cadet Handbook Training
  • First Aid
  • Land Navigation
  • Survival Swimming
  • Marching Band (optional)

Special Programs

Cadets participate in special programs through the military department. These activities allow students to become more involved in the community while further promoting self-discipline, teamwork, and pride.

Special military department programs include:

  • Christmas, Easter, and June Drill
  • Community Parades
  • Color Guard
  • Competitive Drill Team
  • Leadership Camp
